Thank you for trying Calendar Master. Calendar Master is a Windows 3.1 program that you can use to print calendars. You can enter various types of events into the program such as Anniversaries and Birthdays, and one-time and recurring appointments. This information will be printed out on the calendar. Complete information is contained in the Help file. The following files are contained in the CALMST11.ZIP file; README.TXT This file CALMAST.EXE The executable file CALMAST.HLP Windows 3.1 help file CMDIALOG.VBX Visual Basic Custom Control SS3D.VBX " SS3D2.VBX " MHSN200.VBX " APIGUIDE.DLL Helper Dynamic Link Library MSAFINX.DLL " CTL3D.DLL " MHRUN300.DLL " You can put these files into the same directory (wherever you want to put Calendar Master) while you are trying the program. What is commonly done however is to move the .VBX and .DLL files into the Windows system directory so that other programs that use them can access a common copy. If you do this, you should be carefull to not copy an older file over a newer file. Calendar Master is a Visual Basic 3.0 program and as such, requires the file VBRUN300.DLL be located either in the Windows or Windows\System directory. As per convention, VBRUN300.DLL is not included in this package. It is available from a number of places including CompuServe and "Cica" (anonymous FTP from ftp.cica.indiana.edu). Also note that Calendar Master uses some True Type fonts that are shipped with Windows 3.1; Times New Roman, MS Sans Serif, and Arial. Calendar Master will not run correctly without these fonts (including Bold styles) installed. This is Version 1.2 of Calendar Master. Changes/fixes from version 1.1 are: 1. Made the specification of recurring events more robust. Now you can enter an event that happens on "The fourth Tuesday of every month" or "The Last Saturday every other month." 2. Made all dialogs fixed in size since the dialogs don't rescale if you change the size anyway. Also made sure the dialogs appear inside the main Calendar Master Window. 3. Added the ability to fine tune the placement of event text on the printed calendar. This lets you nudge the event text away from the left, top, and right edges of the day box if it is running into them. 4. The main calendar window now remembers where you put it so that it will come up where you left it the last time you used Calendar Master 5. Fixed a bug that prevented Calendar Master from reading data files when the Windows International date format was other than MDY. Event dates are now saved with the format and separator specified in the [intl] section of WIN.INI. Note that this does not apply to the Anniversary event section. They are always saved as mm/dd. 6. Added the capability to wrap to more than two lines of event text on the printed calendar. Previously, the event text would be clipped after two lines. 7. Added the capability to search for events that contain a specified text string. I would like to hear comments (good or bad) about the program. Please send them to: CompuServe: 73523,3314 Internet: 73523.3314@Compuserve.com U.S. Mail: 14722 Fawnglen Circle Chino Hills, CA 91709-3403 Thanks again and have fun with Calendar Master. One final note. This is a Shareware program. If you DO have fun with Calendar Master, please consider registering the program. Complete instructions are found in the help file. Tom Hudgins
